Eliza Kumapley, a freshman at the University of Southern Indiana, was recently awarded the Sara B. Davies Award at the 31st annual Celebration of Leadership Awards. The award recognizes young leaders who demonstrate a strong commitment to service, leadership, and community impact.
The Owensboro High School football team clinched the 2025 KHSAA Class 5A state championship, defeating Pulaski County 35–7 Saturday at Kroger Stadium in Lexington.
Anthony Ajibade Jr., A.J. is in the spotlight! Last week, AJ was the leading scorer for the Vanderburgh County Avengers in the Special Olympics Indiana State Basketball Tournament, where his team won 3rd place in their division. AJ is a class of 2020 graduate of Boose High School and a freshman at Ivy Tech Community College where he is studying cyber security. Our Times Newspaper is excited to share the accomplishments and efforts of youth in the community.
