Congratulations to Jasmine Roland!

Jasmine Roland was recognized by the University of Southern Indiana to be one of the recipients of the Distinguished Sophomore Award for the Class of 2028. Jasmine is a Harolyn Torain Multicultural Leadership Scholar and received this award based on academic excellence, commitment to community, campus engagement including involvement in the Black Student Union and Women Unlocked, and the creation of an inspiring quote board that was showcased in the Multicultural Center on campus. The award was presented by USI’s President, Steven Bridges.

Our Times Newspaper is excited to share the accomplishments and efforts of youth in the community. She brings a strong background in community development and public service, with experience in organizational leadership and program management.

Rasheedah holds a Master of Science in Public Service Administration from the University of Evansville and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Southern Indiana. She is an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC®) through the Association for Financial Counseling & Planning Education (AFCPE) and periodically writes a financial column for Our Times, helping readers strengthen financial literacy and build long-term financial stability.
