Founded in 1983, Our Times Newspaper is a Black-owned publication dedicated to community-centered journalism that informs, empowers, and engages the Evansville region. We exist to amplify Black voices, address gaps in local media coverage, and strengthen civic participation through ethical, accountable reporting. By uplifting community perspectives, training youth, and expanding access to local information, Our Times works to build a more informed, connected, and equitable region.
