City Opens Final Round of “Forward Together” Grants for Local Nonprofits

Mayor Stephanie Terry announced that applications are open for the final round of Forward Together grants, with submissions due Friday, May 1 at 5 p.m.

Local nonprofits working to strengthen neighborhoods, support youth, and expand access to education now have another opportunity to secure funding through the City of Evansville.

Mayor Stephanie Terry announced that applications are open for the third and final round of Forward Together grants, with submissions due Friday, May 1 at 5 p.m.

This round includes $500,000 in “Go” grants, aimed at supporting one-time, high-impact projects that can show clear results in the community.

Funding for the grants comes from interest earned on federal American Rescue Plan dollars and will be awarded to nonprofit organizations whose work aligns with key priorities, including:

  • Neighborhood revitalization
  • Youth wellness
  • Literacy initiatives

For many organizations, this funding could help launch or expand programs that directly impact families and neighborhoods across Evansville.

“Nonprofits are doing this work every day—whether it’s improving public spaces, supporting youth development, or increasing access to learning opportunities,” Terry said. “This funding is meant to help strengthen those efforts and improve quality of life across our city.”

Applications will be reviewed by a volunteer committee, with final decisions made by the Mayor’s Office.
