Memorial Community Development Corporation celebrates 30 years this year! The organization was founded by members of the Memorial Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Adrian M. Brooks Sr., to develop the community through five pillars: Early Child Education, Youth
Development, Health and Wellness, Housing and Economic Empowerment.
An explosive anniversary weekend is scheduled to commemorate three decades of service and progress in our community. Save the date for the following events and stay tuned to learn how you can attend.
Annual Luncheon and Awards Ceremony
Thursday, August 22nd, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Old National Bank Board Room
Learn more about Memorial CDC’s impact and investments in underserved areas of Evansville and network with other community partners during this luncheon. The keynote speaker will be Kim Wize, Field Director of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Center City Tours will also be available to show attendees Memorial CDC’s work in the community.
30th Anniversary A Night under the Stars
Friday, August 23rd, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Evansville Country Club
During this beautiful evening, enjoy a gourmet dinner, live music, performances and connect with other community members. Retired Old National Bank CEO Bob Jones will give special remarks during the evening’s festivities.
Community Bash “Brunch with Brooks”
Saturday, August 24th, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at “The Blacktop”
Enjoy food, fun, games, music and entertainment as we pay special tribute to Memorial CDC’s founder, Rev. Dr. Adrian M. Brooks Sr.
Sunday Service
Sunday, August 25th, 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Memorial Baptist Church
Join us for our Sunday Worship Service where we host a special guest speaker, listen to explosive Gospel music and enjoy light refreshments.
