EVPL Foundation seeks nominations for 2026 Art Awards
Nominations are now open for EVPL Foundation’s 2026 Art Awards, honoring local artists, organizations and creative projects that help shape southwestern Indiana’s cultural life.
The Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library (EVPL) is accepting nominations for its 2026 Art Awards, which recognizes individuals and organizations that have contributed to the arts in southwestern Indiana.
The awards will be presented during the EVPL Foundation’s In The Stacks event on Nov. 13. Finalists in each category will be announced before the event and will receive two complimentary tickets.
Residents have until Aug. 14 to submit nominations through the online form at evpl.org/artawards.
Awards will be presented in several categories, including visual arts, performing arts, literary arts, culinary arts, arts education, community arts projects and young artists. The Mayor’s Art Award will also be presented to a Vanderburgh County resident whose long-term contributions have had a significant impact on the arts in Evansville.
This year’s awards include a Culinary Art Award, recognizing individuals whose work in food and culinary arts contributes to the region’s culture.
Eligible nominees may include individuals, businesses, organizations, institutions and community projects. The Art Project Award will recognize a project that used the arts to support community development, economic development or quality-of-life initiatives during 2025.
Mayor Stephanie Terry is expected to attend the event and present the Mayor’s Art Award.
Additional information about tickets and sponsorship opportunities for In The Stacks will be announced later this summer.
