A Note from the Publisher

New Year greetings to all that support Our Times. Thank you!

Happy New Year!!

I pray that God will bless you in the upcoming year. As we embark on another year, I want to personally thank you for supporting the Black Press. Our Times Newspaper is entering its 43rd year of publication. This publication remains committed to culturally enlightening and continuously informing the Black community in Evansville, Indiana and the surrounding area.

This coming year promises to be a monumental year as we celebrate the opening of a new office located at 410 S. Elliott Street off the corner of Walnut Street. We will host a open house in the month of February to welcome our subscribers, vendors, and community supporters. We hope that this is a place where we exchange ideas, print news and fellowship with one another. We want the community to visit our new office and meet our team!

In 2026, you will notice our enhanced website and increased social media presence. We are committed to accentuate the positive contributions made by Black owned businesses and predominately Black churches and organizations. We launched our Black business of the month last year and that will continue this year as well. We will do our best to share Black innovation and emerging trends to assist our readers in navigating the AI influenced terrain. We will prove to our distractors that DEI enhances a company’s performance and being WOKE broadens a person’s intellect.

Our Times Newspaper is alive and well. It is more important today than ever before. Please continue to support us and give us constructive feedback. We will continue to do our best to give you news about our Black people. Peace!!

Rev. Dr. Adrian M. Brooks Sr.
