LETTER TO THE EDITOR: C. Bacon

Dear Editor,

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Memorial Baptist Church for their incredible support during a difficult time this past winter. In the coldest part of January 2024, my pipes froze and cracked, and I discovered that my furnace was not effective enough to heat my home. While discussing the situation with a plumber, I learned that the water could not be turned on until the furnace was fixed. I didn’t know what to do until the plumber mentioned Memorial Baptist Church has an emergency outreach program.

This was the first time I had heard about Memorial Baptist Church. I contacted them and was assisted by Ms. Tamika, who did not hesitate to help my family.  They showed us nothing but love and support during our crisis, and I am forever grateful to the church that gave us our home back.

Their kindness has inspired me to focus on my faith and give my life back to God. Memorial Baptist Church has been uplifting this community, city, and the tri-state area through their service, support, and prayers. Their dedication to helping those in need made a profound impact on my family and me, and I am certain it has done the same for many others.

Thank you, Memorial Baptist Church!

Sincerely,

Cherelle Bacon
