Delta Sigma Theta to Host Annual Red Shoe Luncheon
The Evansville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will celebrate 48 years of service to the community with its annual Red Shoe Luncheon on Saturday, May 30 at 11:30 a.m.
The Evansville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will celebrate 48 years of service to the community with its annual Red Shoe Luncheon on Saturday, May 30 at 11:30 a.m.
The event will be held at The Crescent Room, 621 S. Cullen Ave., and will honor women in the Evansville area whose work reflects the organization’s commitment to service and its Five-Point Programmatic Thrust.
Since its charter in 1978, the Evansville Alumnae Chapter has led local efforts including youth mentoring, scholarship support, voter registration drives, health initiatives and partnerships such as Habitat for Humanity.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available, with a deadline of April 24. A portion of proceeds will support the McCormick/Outlaw/Roberts (MOR) Scholarship, renamed in 2018 in honor of three of the chapter’s charter members. The scholarship provides financial assistance to local high school students pursuing higher education.
