Winners will receive a banner to be displayed at “The Blacktop” and will be acknowledged at the Community-Wide Graduation Celebration on Sunday, May 31st, 12-2pm. The Community Wide Graduation Celebration is a partnership of the AMB Foundation, Our Times Newspaper, and Memorial Community Development Corp. Complete the nomination form online.

Rasheedah Ajibade is the Editor-in-Chief of Our Times Newspaper, where she sets the editorial vision and voice of the publication, oversees newsroom operations, and leads content strategy focused on informing, empowering, and uplifting the community. Rasheedah holds a Master of Science in Public Service Administration from the University of Evansville and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Southern Indiana. The event will take place on April 30 and is designed to help individuals, especially seniors, recognize and avoid common scams that continue to impact local families.

Backed by Black mayors’ group, Evansville wins $125K grant to expand food access in local schools

Evansville has been selected to receive $125k from the African American Mayors Association and the American Beverage Foundation for a Healthy America to fund the Evansville Promise Neighborhood Healthy Play & Pantry program, which is centered in six local schools.
