Funk Legend George Clinton honored with Hollywood Star

BY SERITA CABELL

82-year-old George Clinton, better known as the colorful lead singer/musician of the legendary Parliment Funkadelic or P-Funk received his Hollywood star on January 19, 2024.

P-Funk has brought timeless classics to the African American community over the years that are still played today at weddings, events, and fraternity parties (shout out to the Que’s). Most notably Flashlight, One Nation Under a Groove, and Atomic Dog.

While the star is the 2,769th star awarded there is no doubt that the legendary musician and band was long overdue for the recognition. Keep giving the funk Dr. Funkenstein.
